Mason Ridge Preparatory School, better known as "Heartache Academy" is among one of the most prestigious prep schools currently provided to high schoolers in the United States. Most of the students either come from wealthy families or attend the school on full-ride scholarships. So, naturally, they're expected to be on their best behavior at all times.
However, this is still high school we're talking about, and Mason Ridge, which appears calm and full of respect, is probably home to the rowdiest teenagers in the history of mankind. Student-teacher relationships, back stabbers, friends, enemies, rumors, lies, teenage pregnancies-- it's all here. Before Mason Ridge planted its roots here in sleepy Lowe, Maine, everything actually was sleepy. Now it's insanity.
